Pina Della Rossa lives and works in Naples. Visual Artist and teacher of Art History she has been in the artistic field since the 80’s and her design way evolves through a multi expressive Art.
She deals with Photography, Videos, Painting and Art Installations. Her research gets into a metaphorical meditation about the connection between Identity and Body, Substance and Mind.
Her conceptual matrix work releases from physicality emancipating from the scientificity of photographic enforcement, to welcome extra-sensory nature impulses. The expression gets language and the images can be seen even in its overcoming, proving the delation of the language itself. The mental making becomes, that way, an emotional one. During her artistic growth, Della Rossa witnesses her way of putting together Art and Social Envolvement, making projects dealing with existential issues, urban collective tensions and fight against any form of violence. In this sense she proves a sensitive activist in defense of Human Rights. Her works become a language for contemporaneity, interior and autobiographical search, and at the same time, a moment of rebirth. To remember the work in progress project “Segni Permanenti” (Permanent Signs), through which she achieved performance art, photography, videos and installations, using her own image and involving artistic and cultural personalities as olso her community.
Her works are in several standing exhibitions at Public and Private Authorities, in Museums, in Archives and in Contemporary Art Galleries, including: MADRE MUSEUM – Naples; NATIONAL MUSEUM, Thebes, Greece, ALLOTROPYA MUSEUM, Antikira - Greece, MOBIUS GALLERY, Massachusetts-Usa.
In 2016 she was inserted in the ATLAS OF CONTEMPORARY ART at Naples and in Campania (by Loredana Troise, edited Vincenzo Trione) for a research and documentation project at Madre Museum, Naples, (Electa Editions).
