My research considers the language and the evocative power of words as starting points to investigate the real that surrounds me. Reality is studied through the lens of my daily life and my private, elements then sublimated to universality, pretexts to narrate identity and its changes in space and time. Observing, analyzing, decontextualizing, getting to the essence of things, are elements of my practice that develops mainly through writing, drawing, photographic documentation and sculpture, sometimes operating minimal interventions on the given matter, sometimes operating unusual combinations from which a new shape originates.
The studio is where most of the work is done.
The making process has very similar phases for each work: first of all there is a part of reading and studying about the topics of the research that I intend to carry out, followed by notes, texts and drawings useful to document its developments and formalize the final aspect of the work.
Texts and drawings are then scanned and / or photographed in order to have a digital copy both for any further manipulation and for archiving.
Papers (of different weights and different types), clay, fabrics are the supports that I use most and on which I take action or to which I put near various other materials.
