Gabriella Siciliano

Gabriella Siciliano is a visual artist who expanded her horizon by studying other disciplines such as music and dance, making her language transversal and multidisciplinary. 

Her research mainly focuses on site-specific interventions, moving throughout performances, installations and videos. Each work begins as a ritual with which the artist links her tribal origins with the western world where she grew up.

The blend of colorful aesthetic, pop culture elements and deeper existential concepts comes together in a melancholic yet ironic result. It generates a constant short circuit of symbols and meanings, bringing to light the contrast and contradictions that western culture contains.
