The group -born in 2017 with Alessandro Armento, Luisa de Donato, Viviana Marchiò, Adriano Ponte- includes artists with different backgrounds who are interested in some topics such as the concept of crossing and suspension, the elsewhere and the authoriality, the individual and the multiple.
DAMP has realized many installations like Pixel, a play of reflections created by the water that reconstitutes the image of a church, and Deriva, floating stairs that unpredictably move.
The most congenial context for DAMP’s research seems to be the art residency, indeed they joined: Sussulti, Palomonte (IT); The State of the City, Rotterdam (NL); Impronte, Raccolta Lercaro, Bologna. In 2019, the art collective has been involved in a “shared residency” about Mediterranean as crossing point, Vicinanze, curated by Chiara Arturo and Cristina Cusani, at MACRO Asilo in Rome.
